Winter Solstice symbolizes rebirth, renewal and hope but at the same time, it serves a purpose where all the living go into survival mode immersing ourselves in it. Allowing our mind & body to shut down for a little while focusing on our personal hibernation.

Creative output needs energy and inspiration and winter is a good time to wind down and gather inspiration. Thinking, creating, writing, daydreaming, observing and discovering new ideas are all part of the creative process. Just as nature needs downtime, so do we! Especially artists as this can be the absolute ideal time to accumulate everything we need in our creative mind in order to create.

I believe wintering for artists can ease the creative pressure allowing us to grasp the true meaning of freedom and generate ideas inspired as well as motivated by our surroundings. Allowing ourselves to realize and appreciate this natural part of our creative cycle that this transition is not just a luxury but a necessity for our art. Recharging energy, gathering thoughts and having ideas while we wander through this quiet time will allow our art to persevere and evolve. Small steps should be cherished in winter keeping us moving forward, embracing life and gathering thoughts. Despite this relaxing time frame we should still try to stay connected to our creative practice while respecting a slower pace. That is why winter is magical and that is why we call it a “Tale”.

A tale means a story created using the imagination, especially one that's full of creative embellishments.

Therefore as Renkolondon, we are staging an exhibition for all art enthusiasts this winter, showcasing leading innovative, accomplished artists you can connect with during these special winter months. This collection of artworks will take us on a journey through diverse artists celebrating the beauty, wonder and whimsy of the winter season.

Per usual we are delighted to be collaborating with The Stay Boulevard Nisantasi on this unique exhibition laying the importance on the creative force of synergy. Emphasizing the magic of winter.

However, remember that spring is never too far off. Prepare yourself for your own personal, amazing renaissance and do not forget to nurture your creativity as we all know Winter holds, and sometimes hides, the promise of new life.
